1 box devils food cake, made according to the instructions on the box
1 8 oz container of cool whip, thawed
1 tablespoon almond extract
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
1 (5 1/8) box instant vanilla pudding
1 (21 ounce) can of cherry pie filling.
Mix the almond extract with the cherry pie filling. When the cake is still hot poke holes in it with a fork and pour the cherry pie filling all over the cake and spread it around so it goes into the holes. Make the pudding according to the directions and mix with the cool whip and vanilla extract. Spread over the cake. Voila!
Top with maraschino cherries if desired.
